A bistro set is taller than regular table and chairs. You sit on bar stools to reach the table and rest you feet on a cross bar rather than the floor.

A bistro table is much smaller, and usually round. It only sits two people, and is usually made from cast iron and tile, or plastic. You know the little tables that resturants put outside on the sidewalk? Those are bistro tables.

Bistro sets are usually for outdoor use – dining sets for indoors.
