Rod Stewart joins Jeff Beck on the stage at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles to perform “People Get Ready”
What did the Catholic Church did to bring people back and stop the flood of people form leaving (this was during the protestanism age, Martin Luther, etc).
Please help .
I notice all the churches in my city keep building bigger churches, or youth centers, or gyms, or day cares, or stupid scultures, or church camp cabins. I think it is pretty ridiculas. Wouldnt Jesus frown on the idea of building churches to compete with other churches? I think it is all a business.
It was never taught. There were speculations on the part of church leaders in the past, but this was in the Journal of Discourses and nothing in there is supposed to be official. If it was meant to be official, it would have ended up in the D & C.
That’s like reading a president’s journal and acting as if he meant every single thought in there to be official policy.
The fact is the church teaches that blacks are equal in every way to every other race. It is revisionist history to claim the Journal of Discourses was official doctrine.
The foundations he gave his church are:
Charity
Beliefs
Worship
Magisterium

It seems that Muslims are always blamed for being the most violent of the religious sects but isn’t it true that the Catholic church ordered inquisitions throughout Europe, Russia, etc. The Cathloic church also aided in some of the destructions to the Aztecs and Incas in Mexico, Central America and south America. Which religious group has killed more over the last 1000 years? How many total killed were there during the spanish inquisitions?
How do they do it? How do they make people feel so much guilt upon skipping church? What’s the technique they employ to make people associate their innate guilt with church skipping? And to make people return to church with money.

In the fourteenth century, the medieval west suffered a series of catastrophes, and the prestige of the church decreased dramatically. In which ways were the church’s dominance questioned, and how did the church fail to meet the needs of its people.
What were the Churches failings during this time?
During the plaque, famine and the rest – how did the Church fail the needs of the people? For example, taxes, indulgences and the creation of purgatory.
Should a church act extra friendly towards them or no different? At a few churches I’ve attended alone and felt almost like I was in the way at times (not sure if it’s in my mind or if it’s just truly an unwelcoming church).
Do you think these are unwelcoming a churches or are all churches like this?
