Church, Bistro and Theatre

This pitcher and basin is very old and has an Iris design.On bottom it is marked Kendal with a medical emblem and Bistro England. Also in red has U 693 X

My daughter has little hope gaining admission to a local Church of England school because they class “Methodists” as being from a different faith and therefore highly unlikely to gain entry to a Christian school? Is this legal?

If so why? They were not technically part of the Protestant reformation, so why are they considered a Protestant church?
