@800adam008 Yup, although he’s the oldest . Boyd is 45, Dave is 42, Stefan is 35, and Leroi would be 47 if he was still alive.

Easily one of the best and most unique drummers in the world, and with a fantastic band on top of that.

Carter rocks! He is one of the contemporary greats, for sure- great groove, killer chops and extremely musical, he always delivers the goods- his drumming is a large part of the Dave Matthews Band’s sound and is why they stand apart from other bands in this genre-

  17. mooserack99 says:

The majority of this sounds like a cross between “Lie in Our Graves” and Steve Gadd’s “Crazy Army” solo. Only 100X better.

@GeorgeFarrall its true, and they all contribute to the writing of songs a lot, not just dave…

  24. GeorgeFarrall says:

@colonelmusturd02 – It is not Dave’s band at all, read up on them a bit you’ll realize that the name of the band is because when they first played at a local bar he said to just put Dave Matthews down on the sheet and she automatically put band after it, and since then it stuck. They were all founding members of the band and they did think that it may give more attention to dave but they stuck with it.

@viverboy He’s just single stroking sixteenth-triplets and accenting where he pleases, haha. He’s the man
